Blair Mixed Breed

Blair came to us with social anxiety towards other dogs. Blair's mom had completed some previous training with another trainer that only practiced "Positive Reinforcement" methods and was told by the trainer that Blair would never be able to interact with other dogs without a muzzle and that she was a lost cause. Amanda, our head trainer, was determined to show her otherwise. Blair was not dog-aggressive, she did not have a desire to attack or hurt other animals. She just had a lack of social skills and needed to learn how to interact with other stable dogs that could help show her the way. Blair had some experience with basic commands but lacked control on a leash and with impulse so before we could expose her to other dogs we helped her owner develop control with walks and boundaries. Blair was eventually able to interact with other balanced dogs without a muzzle and built confidence around other dogs while on leash.
